Maleficent, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather

Cold Winter Days at the Library

Spending a cold winters day at the Bacon Memorial Library. Library's are warm and cozy with free coffee! We start out with toddler story time and make our rounds though-out the library. Ed and Angelus look up old books on trains and trolleys and I catch up on the latest magazines.

Kickin' it Old Skool! It's odd to me that Angelus will never have to use these cards to find books. These make me feel nostalgic whenever I see them, I loved going to the library when I was a kid and these index cards were the keys to the treasures.

A Fanciful Twist

You may be wondering why in the world I'm suddenly ravelry obsessed. A fanciful twist of fate is the answer! One of my favorite bloggers, Vanessa at A Fanciful Twist has been posting photos of these wondrous and whimsical blankets. They are just beautiful, check these out and check out her blog, I'm crazy about her.

So I'm falling in love with these works of yarn art, I'm even dreaming about them all soft and playful. Now comes the fate part. At my last freecycle, my knitter friend Hex was off loading these...
Perfectly wondrous and whimsy!

So it begins, my Fanciful Twist Blanket, so named for my muse.

Twilight feels fanciful too!

Quarter of a Century Scarf

I finished another crochet project, a warm and soft green scarf for my number one gal! This was a birthday gift for my sister Jessica who turned 25. Quarter of a century baby!

We had a birthday dinner for her at Ichinan, a japanese steak house & sushi bar. It was so neat! I can't wait to go again.
